New Year's Resolutions: A Venue for Behavior Modification and We Can Help

Greetings and Happy New Year:

I am reconnecting as a professional blogger and realizing that there is so much for all of us to share regarding or life journey. As we travel along our life's journey, some of us cast our fate to the wind and let chance have her way. Some of us are at the other extreme managing each and every second of our lives. Either of these options is not useful because each is a source of stress. While change is inevitable, we have healthy options for stress free management of its process.

When we accept responsibility for change in our lives, we realize that "CHANGE IS A PROCESS NOT AN EVENT." While many of us understand this, we forget everything, when it comes to the application of this quote to New Year's Resolutions. We have said or heard it said, "I do not believe in New Year's Resolutions, because I can't keep them." These statements must be based on an ignorance of the definition of the word resolution.

Consider a resolution, particularly a New Year's Resolution, is a commitment to enter into a change process When we make a promise to ourselves or others on New Year's Eve, change does not have to happen right away. We can even miss the mark, in the beginning, as part of the process. We could even have all year to practice until we reach perfection.

We will share more about our New Year's Resolution(s) during the next few blog posts. In the meantime...go ahead....make a resolution or two, it is not too late and the pressure is off... WE WILL SHOW YOU HOW TO KEEP THEM!!!

Lots of Love (LOL)...."M"
