FIRST AID FOR THE SOUL: Resilience, Rehabilitation, and Recovery
Greetings and thank you for the opportunity to share my professional endeavors through this book. It is a marriage between religion (spirituality) and mental health. Both converging into a Spiritually informed set of protocols to achieve one of the three responses to significant life events (SLE). SLE’s are usually seen as traumatic and so negative. For purposes of this work, we replace the word negative with challenging.
CHALLENGING SIGNIFICANT LIFE EVENTS provides portals into experiences that are unique if not once in a lifetime. When we encounter SLE’s our capacity to adapt defines what we term our level of intelligence. Our level of intelligence represents the ease with which we encounter SLE’s. No two people respond to SLE’s the same.

Some of us observe what is happening in our lives and simply keep moving toward our prescribed agendas. Some of us encounter the events and stumble. We need help in order not to fall. Finally, there are those of us who actually stumble and fall. While we may never be the same again, we, never-the-less, return to a viable lifestyle where we earn a living, take care of our personal needs, and engage in significant interpersonal relationships.

If we are able to encounter an SLE and keep moving then we are practicing optimal resilience. When we stumble without falling relative to an SLE, we need rehabilitation in order to be restored to our original state prior to the event. For those of us who actually fall, we need to recover, which features a variety of shapes and forms.

This volume provides insights into a lifestyle of resilience. We recognize a definition, and approaches to daily maintenance (mind, body and soul).
We recommend anyone in the emotional healing professions and/or those into self-healing to read this book. Once you have read it, we would love your feedback. We are also available for lectures, sermons, supervision and/or training for those seeking opportunities in the Behavioral Health Field.

Again, thank you so much for the privilege of sharing this book with you.
Sincerely,
